Scot Hughes

Audio Book Narrator

Scot Hughes first found himself talking in a microphone as a child, when he and his brother and cousins created their own "radio station" on a cassette tape recorder. His first real radio job came in high school, and he's been on-the-air in one way or another pretty much ever since. He is currently the play-by-play voice of Xavier Saints football on KMRY.

Scot also felt the pull of the theatre from a young age, and has appeared on many area stages in the Cedar Rapids - Iowa City corridor. He's portrayed characters from Atticus Finch and George Bailey, to Schmendiman and Murray the Cop, with dialects from standard British English to Brooklyn to Cockney.

Scot is happy to discover yet another microphone to talk into, and is excited about bringing more stories to life through the power of the spoken word.
